Events

As our coalition grows, we will offer a variety of events to connect, inform, and engage our members.

Girl with Bookshelves

Virtual Book Clubs

Twice a year, we will select a shared text that pushes our thinking, introduces new ideas, and connects us as a community of readers. We will meet on Zoom for a lively discussion – inviting the author when possible. Feel free to join even if you have not yet completed the book or if you’re a silent observer.

Monthly Think Tanks

Join us for informal networking, brainstorming, and collaborative informal monthly meetups. The first portion of these events will be a guest speaker, with ample time for questions and conversations. Mark your calendars for the 2nd Wednesday of the month, at 7:30 PM EST. After using this Google Form to register, you’ll receive the Zoom information.

Annual Conference

Building upon the success of the 2021 End Book Deserts virtual event, we are hard at work planning our 2022 event. Did you miss the 2021 event? Catch up on it here.

Our Code of Conduct

Molly's favorite high school teacher used to tell his students, “It’s nice to be important, but it’s important to be nice.” These are words that we value and have used them to shape our Code of Conduct. All attendees and participants are expected to adhere to this code. We are committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all events and forums; we have zero tolerance for any form of discrimination or harassment. Unacceptable behavior is defined as the following: harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form and/or verbal/written abuse in any form.

It’s this simple. Be nice.
